Prost!

Heey... so that post i was gonna do to remind you of the Oktoberfest party?
Yeah, i didn't have time for that, because holy crap has this month been busy, but here's a little mixed update post, with lots of pictures from the party, and of course a few tattoos.

The party was so much fun... like, crazy fun!
Probably the best one we've even had, and that's probably because it involved costumes, food, drinking, and dancing, but no tattooing!
Our Halloween parties in Denmark were fun too, but people tend to wanna go home after getting tattooed (always leaving us as the only people wanting to hang out late), but this time most people hung around till 4 in the morning, so we finally got the party we wanted!
And while it wasn't an official opening party, it kinda was anyway, and we're happy it was such a good one, and we got to spend it with such lovely people.

Next up on the Conspiracy Agenda is Walk-in Weekend (November 8th - 10th), and i will certainly update you about that during the next week or so... promise!

Party decorations?

Uncle Allan, Oktoberfest edition!

Wendy, all done up in dirndl and wig!

I wore a wig and dirndl too, but sadly i didn't have any lederhosen for Lucifer...

All dressed up and ready to cook some weisswurst!

We weren't the only ones in costume, blurry Kinga dressed up too!

So did Jess and Amanda

Cuuute!

Eating knödel with chopsticks is totally German, right?

Foods!

And dancing!
Nope, that's definitely not a dance-off to Bootylicious... nope, no way...

The day after the party was Nick's birthday, and the day after that, we had a Dinobaby visit!
Another drawing night in the attic....

Also among our many recent visitors: my parents! And they brought us awesome stuff, like apples, homemade bread, skulls, and tons of other goodies, like this old filing cabinet

Some flea market finds, some fox skulls kindly donated by my parents' neighbors, and a sheep skull that my parents found in their village... swoon!

Ok, that's it for now, but i'll be back soon with some Walk-in Week updates!

Ps. Do you also really fucking hate feeling ripped off by after-Christmas sales in early January?
Yeah, that's annoying as hell, right?
Well, Clandestine Republic is having a pre-Christmas sale on the Red Box comic, all fancy gift wrapped and stuff. A sale when you actually need it, yay!

Pps. Sorry for even mentioning the C-word in October, it's very much not like me...

A post from the surface of the sun

Earlier today i was sitting in the office, sweating my ass off, thinking "it's too hot to blog!" and then i remembered that Allan is doing three tattoos today, a Sunday, and i decided to not be a dick and maybe just post a little something.
Work solidarity, you know?
Also, the shop is probably the coolest place in a city that's burning up.

Ok, news!

I'm still booking from Uncle Allan's waiting list, so be patient, i will post here when we're taking bookings and for which months.

Matthew is currently designing our new shop business card and it's looking rad so far, very excited to see it finished!
But in between his business card painting and bike riding, he does have time for tattoos, so email him to book in, there are plenty of openings coming up: matthewgordon@live.com.au.

Uncle Allan will be going to the London Convention in September, as usual, and also as usual, he'll be doing walk-ups only.
So the deal is the same as it has been for the last couple of years: come by the booth, pick some one-of-a-kind flash, get tattooed, be happy!
The Aussies will stay in Berlin this time, so if you're in Berlin and want to get tattooed at the studio last weekend of September, just get in touch with them.
I will however be bringing prints and stuff from everyone at the shop, so stop by the booth and see what we have.

We have a bunch of guest artists coming up, all of them pretty much around the same time, early October, and i will be doing separate posts on each of them in August. Yeah, that was a teaser, but i promise i'll let you know soon (hint: i already put two of them in the news section!)

If you have emailed me about merch and i haven't replied, i'm sorry, that whole part of the shop is still a mess, but i'll get on it and get back to everyone real soon, promise!

I recently realized that i haven't really posted that many photos from the new studio, and i wanna do something about that, so we're gonna try to take some decent pictures soon, so you all can see how pretty it looks (really, it's very pretty!)
But until then, here are a few shots from around the studio, as well as a few new Uncle Allan pieces, and Wendy's new awesome business cards!

How's that for a 36 degree Sunday update?!
Yeah, not actually that impressive, i know, but just let me think i'm being all productive, ok?

Studio peek

It's funny, for so long we deliberately waited to post any pictures of the shop online, cause we wanted the new place to be a surprise to the Aussies, but now that they're here, and we're allowed to post pictures, i can't really figure out where to start!
So maybe i'll just wait until i get some film in my camera, and take some real photos of the place?
Maybe, but until then, here are a few little sneak peeks of the studio we now call home.

Don't forget that Wendy Pham and Matthew Gordon are actually here now, in Berlin, and ready to take on clients.
Wendy already worked for a bit on Saturday!
Write them an email to book a date, for now or later, they're here for a long time: matthewgordon@live.com.au or wendy_p@live.com.au
And don't forget that we have Joey Ortega visiting in April too.

Faces of total awesomeness

Man, it sure is going slow with the blogging these days (my personal blog is suffering even worse than this one), but there's nothing slow about August at the shop!

We have a house full of awesome guests and guest artists, and on top of that, we had the black metal art show on Saturday, and seriously, just wow... i can't even express how awesome that was, and how grateful we are to the people (many people!) that showed up.
Thank you!
We had such a fun evening, and it was such a pleasure showing Allan's paintings, and our redecorated-for-the-occasion shop, to friends and clients and total strangers alike.

Ok, so the first half hour or so, i was taking pictures non stop with three different cameras, hell bent on documenting the occasion, but then people started to drink... and obviously i was in charge of keeping the beers coming while Allan and Lucifer mingled, so all of a sudden, the documenting kinda stopped!
So you'll just have to take my word for it; the shop and sidewalk was totally packed, and people seemed to have fun, like at a real party! Only with an all black metal soundtrack, of course. So yeah, who cares if i didn't get that many pictures.
In a way it was almost like we got to have the opening party we never got around to throwing two years ago, cause stuff kept going wrong back then. I hope it won't be our last party!

Pictures of all the paintings are gonna be up on Allan's blog real soon (i think he's in the process of editing now) and those that aren't sold yet will be for sale, so check up on that soon.
We also have a few t-shirts left from our very limited run made just for the show, and they'll be for sale too soon!
Update: t-shirts are up on the merch blog NOW!

Ok, pictures!

Pretty pretty... uhm, i mean gloooomy and scary, of course... ahem...

Yes, the little statues are for sale too, although we were too busy to price them on Saturday!

I have a feeling Allan might keep this one, though

The paintings are up until the end of the week, then we'll start getting the shop back to normal, so if you want to see them live, i suggest you drop by Friday, Saturday or Sunday, but as always, call or write ahead to make sure we're here.

A huge thanks to David, Wendy, Matthew, Nick, Matt, Davee and Ross for helping us out and just being awesome, and to everyone else who dropped by, thanks for coming! You guys are the best!

Greetings from our second home

Hello from Japan!
It's a bit of a rainy day today, and i have no plans, so i figured it was the perfect time to do some blogging.
Allan is tattooing, so maybe i'll post some tattoo pictures from Japan soon, but until then, i actually have some shop pictures to share.
I shot a film on our trip to Germany, and finished it in Copenhagen the day we left for Japan.
The Germany pictures are over here, if you're interested (there's a peek at the paintings as well), but i figured that at least some of the ones taken at the shop belonged on this blog!
All pictures were taken with my Canon AE-1, which is (in case you didn't know) the bestest and prettiest camera in the whole world. Yup, sure is.

More Japan goodness soon... probably!
